Step by step, the reader is walked through the process necessary to achieve basic skills. Once learned, those skills can be applied to all kinds of projects. 

All tools and materials necessary for the gourd or papercutting projects are basic supplies most home crafters already have in the tool drawer or garage. The step by step instructions are coupled with pictures. All the projects are great starts to future personal projects -- it's all about learning the basic skills and tips. Every advanced or complicated piece of art or craft you see anywhere is based on primary skills - learn those and the sky is the limit!
